UPDATE: if anyone wants any of these images, grab'em, because in a day or two I'm going to delete this post to prevent my photobucket account from exceeding its bandwidth allocation... ;)
IMHO, it's her smile... quirky, knowing, almost Mona Lisa like... yet not offputting and not distracting from her beauty at all.
This is what defines good gravure: where the appeal is complex and multi-layered, and targeted at more than one "chakra"... because cheap is, well, cheap...
btw most of these images are higher res than what I've displayed (in other words I'm using imgw)... so in firefox, right click the image, and select "view image" to get a higher res. Or just go to my photobucket site.
Actually I can see all the images in this, the 'R' thread. But not the same in the 'G' rated thread... but then, it just hit me, that's because the code for the uploads there wasn't always correct.
I think you've fixed it for IE my man... excellent!
Luther, thanks - I'm seeing all the image references which were syntactically correct.
Some of them (i.e. Fay's post) show up differently between IE and Chrome/Firefox/Safari.
Fay ran into an interesting issue - yeah, people can't type in the image embed code into a comment anymore and have it come out "plain"... I'm hoping this won't be an issue.
So, here's the first image: img:"http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d170/lewy14/100308-0347-wwwjapanesebeautiesn-1.jpg"
ReplyDeleteAnd here's another in the same post: this one is a wide one:
imgw:"http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d170/lewy14/100114-0005-Mayuko_Iwasa_16.jpg"
Awesome!
Ah. Time to relax:
ReplyDeleteimgw:"http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d170/lewy14/-1-1.jpg"
... and get a bite to eat:
imgw:"http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d170/lewy14/091108-0534-attachment-63.jpg"
You're a bad, bad man, Lewy. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely isn't she. Sure causes me to want to be twenty-five again with a marketable skill that would allow me to live in Japan.
imgw:"http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/5183/68120220xe4.jpg"
ReplyDeleteWell, let's see what happens.
Very cool, Lewy. Great job and thanks for taking the time to do all this.
ReplyDeleteOh... the GSD is for Ari. :)
Luther, LMAO at yer pic!
ReplyDeleteBTW I turned the word verification off - this blog got spammed to death a couple years ago and I'd forgotten that I'd turned it on.
imgw:"http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d170/lewy14/091108-0534-06.jpg"
I think that's her "wood chopping" shirt... ;)
Hell, I'm at home with IE and can't see a damn thing. I'll get Google Chrome installed, asap. :)
ReplyDeleteWell I just had a comment devoured by the 'blogspot' maw.
ReplyDeleteAs I was saying... She could lumber my wood anytime. Oh hell... I lost the funny. Never mind.
Thanks for the verification turn-off. But if the spam returns turn it back on for sure. Not worth the hassle for a 'test' blog.
Luther, yeah, blogspot's been doing that to me lately as well... it just eats the comment and gives you some weird code.
ReplyDeleteThis is what I call "business casual"...
ReplyDeleteimg:"http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d170/lewy14/100114-0005-attachment-11-1.jpg"
Gravure is a gateway drug.

Obligatory token white chick:

Business casual is very nice. Though I'd likely be a casualty looking into those eyes.
ReplyDeleteI see about 'gravure'. I'll resist the needle for now. :)
"token"... meh.
Luther, did you try this with IE by any chance? I made a small change which _might_ work...
ReplyDeleteThe definitive gravure photo of Mikie Hara.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: what attribute makes this photo so compelling? There will be a quiz.

ReplyDeleteAn apple a day...
ReplyDeleteimgw:"http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d170/lewy14/babes/100114-0005-attachment-10.jpg"
It is that smile, sure, but I can't get away from those eyes. Yes, I'm shallow and easy.
ReplyDeleteBut you know, even chakras can be cheap, to we the unknowing.
Mikie is a fine specimen of beauty. Beauty beyond my touch.
Another authentic pose: (No eyes in this one. Maybe some more later...)
ReplyDeleteimgw:"http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d170/lewy14/babes/091028-1738-attachment-58.jpg"
Lewy, the code looks nice. Real nice.
ReplyDeleteShit, a terms of use violation from Photobucket. No picture. Damn them. :)
ReplyDeleteBut... your tweak worked, Lewy. I can now see 80% of the images in IE8.
Great job.

Sadly it seems I'm running into TOU issues with some of the photos of Mikie... :(
ReplyDeleteWhy so SRS?
